Neckerchief & Nips S1E20

Hold on to your cowboy boots because this episode gets truly WILD. In episode 20, Karlin discusses us the sad and confusing story of the murder of Don Smith and his daughter Brenda, who was left wondering what happened after he paid her a drunken visit and then disappeared. Next, Alison tells the tale of Henry McCarty. Wait, no, William H. Bonney? Nahhh, it’s the legend himself, Billy the Kid! Alison walks us through a sh*tshow of shootouts and corrects some errors UM made in their telling of his story. And whatever became of Billy? Does Brushy Bill convince the ladies that he was the legendary Kid? Lastly, Eliza tells us the awful story of a true d*ckbitch and scumbag, police officer Charles Mule. With the help of true queen, Detective Kathy Porter, Mule was outed for committing crimes against abused children. Mule then evaded authorities, hiding in swamps like the actual monster that he was. The ladies discuss his horrific crimes and whether or not Mule was ever apprehended.

Foresquin S1E18

Episode 18 has a little something for everyone. This five segment episode is as big as Bigfoot’s, um... big feet. Eliza tells us the story of unexplained murders of race car driver Mickey Thompson and his wife and business partner, Trudy Thompson. Alison tells us about wanted man Michael Wade Mohon, who truly just could not be contained by the police. Next, Karlin tells us about someone else who is always on the run, always evading and lurking in the shadows... the mysterious legend himself, Bigfoot! ...and all his stinky cousins. Eliza then asks herself WHY we are even talking about George J. Stein and the trail of money he left everywhere. Karlin ends with the decades long, tragic case of 16 year old Joyce McLain, a murder that was actually never really a mystery.

You Cannot Ignore the Holes S1E17

It’s the ALCATRAZ episode! We’ll be discussing Alcatraz history, infamous inmates (hot ones, not-so-hot ones), the escape, and of course, the very scientific “test” that UM creates to see whether or not the escapees could have made it out alive. Do you think they made it? Will this giant episode drive the ladies into insanity like some of the Alcatraz inmates? Do you have any birdseed we could borrow? Sit back and listen to us get weird about it.

Eliza discusses the brutal murder of Kathy Hobbs and the other terrible killings of the serial killer thought to be responsible. Who’s the Psychic Now?! S1E15

Alison gives a bananas update on the case of missing Micki Jo West and we all decide that if you’re going to murder people- don’t tell everyone you’ve ever dated about it. Eliza gives us the history of the Orphan Trains and we’re all equally fascinated and heartbroken. Finally, all three ladies of RM participate in the gd Dorothy Allison Fest that is the third segment; is she legit? What do you think?

#notalltancars S1E14 pt.2

Don’t forget RM loves, Episode Fourteen is split into two parts. In Part Two, we cover the last three segments. Karlin tells us about Leo Koury, a very dangerous restauranteur who ended up on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list. Alison falls into the rabbit hole that is the sad tale of Michaela Joy Garecht and we get truly grossed out by the suspects in her abduction. Eliza has her first haunting and the ladies can't seem to agree on this one. Guess which one of us still isn’t convinced...

If you know anything about Michaela or her kidnapper, you can contact investigators at 1-800-222-3999. If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. You can remain anonymous.

A Good Bushman S1E14pt.1

Eliza covers the mystery of missing boy, Jeremy Bright. Did he run away with the carnies? Did people still do that in the 80’s? Are we still allowed to say carnies? Alison discusses the senseless death of Patrolman John Martin and the reality of being in law enforcement. Karlin takes us back to a simpler time, when you panned your way to lavish hotel parties. Get that money, honeys!

Eliza has not one but two lost loves and they're both super good (we can't believe it either!) so she's not too mad about it. She covers the tale of Hungarian refugees & the GI who brought them hope. Alison gives some closure for listeners who have always wanted to know who murdered Matthew Chase. Voodoo Dandy
S1E10

The very classy RM Ladies clutch their pearls while discussing all of the exposed flesh in the Ann Sigmin/ Garey Goff mystery and Alison, much like Charlie Sigmin, is totally underprepared for the scene in the refrigerator shed. Karlin misses the time she’ll never get back while discussing possible alien abductions. Eliza & company wonder how a man who wants to be found can manage to get lost not once but twice.

Congratulations to Katie Cahill, our School Pictures Contest Winner! Her fourth grade picture has been crowned the most awkward of all!

S1E9

The RM ladies try to figure out Kurt Sova’s missing 72 hours before his mysterious death. Eliza tells us the story of John Nellis and his search for both his father and son. Alison REALLY wants you all to watch Spotlight before you listen to her missing priest segment and Karlin amazes us with possibly the worst UM segment ever!

It’s a Christmas miracle that we were able to save the sound in this episode (actually, it’s a crapload of editing). The sound is still a bit weird but we cleaned it up as best we could.
