Re-Solved Mysteries' Patrons

Jamie

“I have been a fan of true crime since I was a kid, watching "Murder, She Wrote" with my grandma, then also, Unsolved Mysteries. I've literally seen every episode of Forensic Files and even studied a little criminal justice and forensics, just for fun. I've been immersing myself in it for years. Oh and also, I'm a fan of reading, crosswords, dental floss, and people who use it”.

“My name is Nicole, I moved to Chicago last year after spending my whole life in Providence, RI. In my free time, I like to read, go to brunch, and hang out with my husband and our dog. I got into UM as a little kid drinking coffee and watching the original episodes with my grandpa.”

My favorite unsolved mystery is the case of the Somerton Man aka the Tamam Shud case.

“My name is Chelsea and I moved from my hometown in Ohio to Portland, Oregon 4.5 years ago. I'm 29 years old and engaged to the best guy ever, Ian. Mysteries have intrigued me my entire life: Nancy Drew, Unsolved Mysteries and Rear Window were some of my earliest favorites.”

“I live in Indianapolis and I'm an artist. I love horror movies and my art is mainly inspired by weird and creepy things. Most of my early childhood memories are of watching Unsolved Mysteries with my grandparents! One of my favorite unsolved mysteries to read about is known as the Yuba County 5. This one took place in 1978 in Yuba City, California. Five young men went missing in a forested park and some of their bodies were later found in very strange conditions.

If actual Men in Black showed up and told me that I could know the truth behind any mystery, I would pick The Yuba County 5.”

“I live in San Diego, CA ( I was stationed here and never left ). I have three kids( 2 biological and 1 bonus) and I spend my free time at the soccer field or lacrosse field with my kids. Growing up I would watch unsolved with my mom and I can remember hearing the team music and the hair on my arm would rise up and I would have the turn all the lights on the house on.

My favorite unsolved mysteries are episodes that deal with Bigfoot and aliens.”

“I got into UM after I I learned about the DB Cooper case. That one is fascinating, and you got to love anything 1970s, right? I think that decade has the crazy fashion winners! For fun, I love to cook, eat, and I love many TV shows and moves. Walking my beagle is a new hobby, as I just moved into a condo (without a yard last February). I also enjoy reading and learning about the unknown unknowns! I am so excited that they really made some progress on DB Cooper.”

Favorite Unsolved Cases: Black Dahlia & DB Cooper
Other Favorite Crime Case: H.H. Holmes

I live in and grew up in small town OHIO. I have always been interested in true crime and forensics. I am a Registered Nurse who in 2002 was given the opportunity to train to be a SANE, sexual assault nurse examiner. I spent nearly all of my 19 years of nursing working in the Emergency Department. My dream job is Nurse Coroner, but that opportunity hasn’t popped up yet! .

Favorite Crime Case: I have always been fascinated by Billy Milligan. He is from my parent’s home town of Athens OH. and was institutionalized there for many years I find DID a mystery as to whether it is a real phenomenon or not. Sybil said she was faking and Billy Milligan was the first case where someone plead insanity for DID.

I’m a recent college graduate from the Philly area!. Since the original run of UM aired before I was born, I didn’t discover it until much later after becoming interested in True Crime. I’m 22 & love books. It was due to reading Nancy Drew that I became interested in mysteries!

Favorite Unsolved Mysteries: The Boy in the Box was always one I was interested in because he was found so close to where I grew up. However, my favorite case would definitely have to be the murder of Cathy Cesnik, the subject of the Docu-Series “The Keepers.”

I’m a lawyer and always on the road, and your podcast has made many miles a lot more enjoyable. :)

When I’m not working, I’m into anime and manga. I’m a huge Stephen King fan, and I’m a collector of tattoos (on myself, that is). I’m a Cancer and a Hufflepuff, so I also love being cozy, baking, and Yoga.

I’m really nostalgic. Some of my happiest memories are cuddling on the couch with my family when I was a kid and watching UM and X-Files.

Lizzie Borden and The Black Dahlia cases are two that never stop fascinating me.

I’m also a podcaster, with weekly shows about Star Trek and Doctor Who on The Nerd Party, as well as occasional playwright. Another podcaster I follow recommended y’all a month ago, and y’all are my favorite non-political/non-legal podcast (everything else in my podcatcher falls in those categories!). So y’all make me happy when those other podcasts make me sad.

I think my one UM memory is not about content - I just remember watching an episode and then going to bed when I was quite young (hopefully under 10!). I lay in my bed and the shadows on the other wall looked like two silhouettes talking. It freaked me out - but I told myself it was just UMs making the shadows of shrubs seem scary. Random!

I got into UM probably like many others; when I was young I would watch it with my mom. Probably what started me in my true crime fascination. In my free time I like to sew and play with my 3 dogs. And of course listening to you guys! I think my favorite unsolved mystery is the Sodder Children. I wanna believe they got out of the fire. So I wonder what happened to them, but they probably actually just died in the fire :(.

I have been fascinated by unsolved cases since I was young. I remember watching UM with my grandma and she loved it. I think my favorite unsolved mystery is the mystery of Amelia Earhart.

I am a self professed History Geek and proud of it. I also am a big reader, true crime and biographies are my top choices but I do love a good mystery. I also have a deep appreciation for cemeteries, I love visiting them. I figure every stone has a story to tell. I remember I used to watch UM when I was a kid back in the day, man it was real good at scaring me. My favorite unsolved mystery? I will probably go with DB Cooper. I hope that they don’t solve this (or Zodiac), I feel the answers will be more pedestrian than the theories.
